I truly believe this to be the best remaining original UK unrestored 240Z anywhere.

As well as never having had, or needed, body repairs it is standard and unmolested.

I have thoroughly enjoyed owning it for 12 years and, for most of those, it has had the more comfortable leather sports seats fitted. I do have the originals safely tucked away and they will naturally stay with the car. The wheels are period correct Minilites which suit it perfectly.

The mileage currently stands at only 91,000 miles which is remarkable for a 48 year old.

I use it sparingly, but regularly, on only the finest days and it is always a great pleasure. The high final drive ratio, via it's original UK spec five-speed gearbox, adds a good deal of cruising comfort making a big difference to a car of this era and I would be happy to drive it any distance. The straight six cylinder engine is super smooth, has ample power and torque and sounds incredible.

It has quite clearly always been a cherished car and very well looked. In addition to its remarkable overall condition, inside and out, the original toolkit with wheel chocks etc is still just as it left the factory in the special compartment and the untouched engine bay still has the fitted torch clipped to the inner wing.

It was previously owned by Datsun 240Z specialist Andrew Turner, who was better known as 'Mr Z' at the time, and I purchased it from his widow. This was his personal 240Z and, amongst other occasions, used it on the Prix des Alpes european tours naturally maintaining it impeccably. It has never suffered body corrosion but the outside was repainted to restore the shine some twenty years ago - it still looks fabulous and bright today and the vivid metallic green looks stunning and really defines the colourful era perfectly.

The history file is excellent and, apart from MOT's and service receipts, includes the original handbooks and manuals plus two spare key sets and the copy of evo magazine that featured it 10 years ago

Datsuns 240Z, Fords 3 litre Capri and Kawasaki's Z900 were the machines I dreamed of during my teenage years and it has been an immense pleasure to own such fabulous examples of these three defining classics later in life.
