The Collection / Honda CB500 KO 1971

A beautifully proportioned highly attractive machine that strikes the perfect balance between being light weight and manageable, and having burly performance like its famous forefather the CB750.

The 4 cylinder, 4 carburettor overhead cam engine provides ample smooth power that enables a top speed comfortably over 110mph and Honda were confident enough of its stature to market it as a superbike.

Superb condition un-restored and original Honda CB500 four KO for sale from Proper Bikes in the UK

The handling is exceptional and the high level of reliability can be taken for granted.

The high performance and reliability was well demonstrated by its successful race record which included a 500cc production class win at the 1973 TT in the hands of Bill Smith.

This early example is original, un-restored and in exceptional condition. The speedometer shows just 12,507 miles and, from the general condition, it is hard to believe it has actually covered that many!

The exhaust systems were known to corrode quickly from new and this example has a genuine Honda 'new old stock' system fitted which are no longer available.

This has obviously been a cherished motorcycle from new and is a lovely and appealing classic machine to own and use into the future.
